Longing to be in conversation with nature can catalyze us. And perhaps the natural world longs for this relationship with us too…”
~ Rebecca Wildbear, The Animas Valley Institute
Alpine Art and Garden studio is my gallery, self-serve garden stand, and creative space. It is open to the public during business hours and during group classes. We have a wide variety of rocks, candles, jewelry, new and refurbished clothes, honey, houseplants, dreamcatchers, soap, magnets, and various other products.
Our self serve garden stands is an assortment of seasonally available potted perennial plants and flowers, fresh picked bouquets, eggs, and other homemade goods such as soap and candles.
Located in a small rural town the outside the building looks like an old garage but step inside and be transformed to our showroom of one of kind framed fine art and HD aluminum prints of Oregon’s landscapes and wildlife.
Discover the joy of creativity and self-sufficiency with our diverse range of classes! As the main instructor, I will be leading art and homesteading classes that will empower you to unleash your artistic talents and cultivate a sustainable lifestyle.
My name is Jasmine and I’m a naturalist, photographer, homesteader, artist, and a mom. My skills in nature-scaping combined with photography allow me to capture special moments of wild animals and to create visually appealing pieces of art. I value using natural light and landscapes to capture unique moments of animals and plants. These pictures are special to us because these are characters in our own stories, neighbors right outside our doors. When we feel connected, we spend more time outside and we develop a healthy relationship with nature and will protect it.
Nature is my refuge, birds are an indicator of that nature. Everywhere we go we find different birds all with different feathers and different songs. Being able to identify them and to possibly share a special moment by getting a photo are my passion. We find beauty and new life in every season. This constant change and new breath of life is exciting and it’s when I connect.
Its Spring in the country! Our favorite and most exciting time of year. All of my pruning is done if you can believe it! It’s wet in the garden but during the early spring there are a few favorites I plant right away. My onions I started from seed in January and now the small sets are the perfect size to be put out. I have planted my arugula and spinach. My strawberries are perking up. I turn by beds over and amend them. I will plant my potatoes right around St Patty’s Day. I use burlap bags and nice fluffy soil. Next will go in the cilantro, reddish, beets, lettuce, kale, chard, and more carrots (I have winter carrots almost done now). My peas started I started in February and they are just tall enough to be stretching up searching for a trellis support. I like to make a tipi around them using stakes and string and it is a lot of fun for my son to help me. In my starting trays are tomatoes and peppers. I will think about flower seeds soon.
We have honey available year round in our self serve garden stand from Honey tree apiaries. We also have fresh veggies, eggs, jam, and candles available. The spring bulbs are smelling amazing and vibrant with color. These include daffodils, crocus, iris, anemones, tulips, and three kinds of hyacinths. The succulents are thriving as well
Our calendar is filling up with classes ranging from homesteading to art to dance. To stay up-to-date with our schedule of events, be sure to check our calendar regularly.
I have been collaborating with different people to gain learning from various perspectives. That’s why I will also be working with guest teachers, speakers, and vendor to enrich your experience.
